Duties and Functions:

Review and endorse planned distribution and utilization of maintenance work force and that of the contract labor
Control labor requirements for day‐to‐day activities of the technical department
Coordinate daily with the operations head to ensure operational tasks are carried out and without delays especially the utilization of equipment
Assume an active role in the development and implementation of improved engineering programs for the terminal operations
Strictly implement the preventive maintenance programs, tasks and procedures
Manage engineering and expansion works, equipment development and refurbishment for improved operations; controls/monitors spares for the terminal equipment
Handle implementation of the maintenance programs, procedures, and repairs of all equipment and other facilities at the terminal
Ensure all terminal cargo handling and conveying equipment are in good working condition
Manage safety and ensure strict implementation of the 5s program and the occupational safety, health and environment policy and security management system within areas under his control
Ensure work is identified, assigned, and completed within a reasonable timeframe
Ensure preventative maintenance work orders are completed on time and scheduled in order to minimize interruptions to operations

Duties and Functions:

Work with planner/estimator to assign and prioritize long‐term preventative maintenance and follow‐up maintenance
Juggle workforce, cross‐training mechanical and electrical people in other skills
Ensure adequate staffing during all times
Maintain buildings, building systems, and all the terminal equipment to prevent unscheduled disruptions
Plan and implement preventative maintenance schedule to prevent unscheduled disruptions
Meet with key people in area at least once a week and provides status of all occurrences, on a regular basis
Follow proper maintenance schedule to prevent unnecessary building service interruptions
Complete all reports and studies on time
Conduct safety training relevant topics
Attend all scheduled meetings
Conduct vendor information seminars to keep staff current
Perform other related functions as assigned by the immediate superior
