Duties and Functions:

Receives oral and written orders from head custodian and head of building services
Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule
Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways and windows
Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors
Uses vacuum cleaners to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds
Dusts furniture and equipment
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills
Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
Performs touch up and finish painting
Empties wastebaskets
Replenishes restroom supplies
Replaces light bulbs
Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms
Prepares rooms for use by library board and organizations
Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms
Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
Opens and closes library building according to security procedures
Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor

(3) Grass Cutter Operator

Duties and Functions:

Cut and prune grasses, brushes, trees, shrubs and hedges
Spray herbicide throughout the assigned location to kill unwanted plants and prevent their re-growth
Sweep assigned area and remove garbage, in an efficient manner
Assist in property maintenance and landscaping activities, as required
Operate a variety of vehicles and machines like mowers, tractors, chain saws, sod cutters and pruning saws
Interpret and follow established safety guidelines at workplace

(4) Crane Operator

Duties and Functions:

Operates various types of cranes: all terrain, rough terrain, crawlers, industrial, hydraulic trucks, conventional trucks, and boom trucks
Hydraulic truck crane operators - operate diesel powered cranes which are mounted on truck type chassis, to lift material, objects or personnel into place
Drives crane to work site and properly sets up per the manufacturer's operators manual and company rules regarding cribbing/matting
Cribbing blocks or mats as required to perform job requirements of customer
May operate crane according to signals from rigger or helper may bolt, pin boom sections together to modify boom lengths
Perform routine maintenance
Carry tools for running repairs
Wears PPE safety equipment
Properly barricade counterweight tail swing radius
Take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown and operation of crane
Understands and can properly fill out job ticket for customer to accept responsibility for jobsite and billing
Drive truck to worksites and unload truck
Any other duties as assigned

Duties and Functions:

Operates tractor equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute earth and to push tress to rocks from land preparatory to constructing roads and buildings or planting crops, or in mining, quarrying, and lumbering operations; fastens attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge-pin hitches
Connects hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachment
Moves levers to control tool bars, carriers, and disks
Moves levers and depresses pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way
Drives bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals
Greases, oils, and performs minor repairs on tractor, using grease gun, oil cans, and hand tools
